Zirconia Crown Vs Stainless Steal Crown

Zirconia Crown V/s Metal Crown

Zirconia Crowns

These crowns are made of solid Zirconia, a bio-compatible material that, until now, has only been used in high-end, adult cosmetic dentistry.

Composed entirely of one solid tooth-colored material, they look extremely esthetic, both from the front view and on the inside of the mouth.

Each crown is glazed with a hint of natural color, making them very smooth, shiny, and impermeable to staining. They are exceptionally strong, and their unsurpassed esthetics allows them to blend in seamlessly with surrounding natural teeth.

Stainless Steel Crowns

Stainless steel crowns are easier to place than other dental crowns, eliminating the need for longer appointments or preparation to your child’s tooth. The material used is also cheaper, making it more fitting for a dental crown that is designed to eventually fall off with the primary tooth as your child’s permanent smile grows in.

The only problem with stainless steel is that they are not aesthetic and hence cannot be used to restore anterior teeth.

Both Zirconia Crowns and Stainless Crowns have their pros and cons but which one to choose depends on the type and condition of the tooth which needs to be restored.

At Vasupujya Dental we offer both of these options to our patients and the right kind of crown is chosen for the child based on the type and condition of the tooth.

The best of materials from trusted brands are used for restoring your child’s beautiful one of a kind smile when he/she gets dental treatment done at Vasupujya Dental.
