Before giving any food to our children we always check if it is fresh and not stale.
We thoroughly clean all fruits and veggies and make sure that they are free of germs.
But why do we take the germs which are already present in the child’s mouth so lightly?
Why is dental infection not given as much importance as an infection in any other part of the body?

Something which is even more concerning is that the infected milk teeth can pass on the infection to permanent tooth which is developing under it.
Another concern is the persistent infection affects the child’s general health because all these bacteria are going in the stomach of the child.
It also gets difficult for them to chew which eventually compromises the nutrition they are getting from the food they eat.
Broken decayed teeth also hinder the speech development of the child.
So to avoid the above mentioned complications it is wise to get the child treated ASAP.
It is understandable that it is a daunting decision for the parents but it is in the child’s best interest to get the infection treated.
