Milk Tooth Root Canal Treatment

Baby tooth root canal treatment is also known as Pulpectomy. This treatment is necessary when a cavity in a milk tooth is deep enough to have affected the pulp (nerve) of the tooth.

Pulp therapy is the removal of the diseased pulp and replacing it with a biocompatible filling material and in the end capping the treated tooth with a crown.

Purposes of a baby toot root canal are-

1.     Maintain the health & integrity of the tooth.

2.     Maintain health of the supporting tissues of the tooth i.e. Bone and Gums

3.     Preventing infection and maintaining health of developing adult teeth (which are placed exactly below the root of the baby tooth)

The entire procedure is done under local anesthesia making it completely painless.
